A Look Back on How Far We've Come

Insights from our President and CFO, Erin Harris



It’s hard to believe it’s already 2024! We’re gearing up for a record-breaking year with the opening of two new offices, the expansion of our services into skilled nursing, and our mobile therapy app, PM NOW. As we prepare for great things in the new year, I can’t help but reflect on how far we’ve come. I joined Preventive Measures in 2013 as the Program Director for PA Mental Health. To say we came from humble beginnings would be an understatement. From our facilities to meeting payroll, everything at that time was a struggle.


Under any other circumstances, I might have run for the hills, but I kept reflecting on my interview with our CEO, Dwayne Jones. As he shared his vision for Preventive Measures and all the ways he wanted to help people, I found that we were deeply connected in both our faith and our values. I was also moved by his transparency, and the opportunity he presented to build something amazing together. It was a true labor love because there were many times, we thought we wouldn’t make it – but we did.



Ten years later, I have never looked back. I’m incredibly proud to lead our operations in not just one region, but five. Today, we are a multifaceted wellness enterprise that prioritizes giving back and growing its leaders. It’s a true Cinderella story, but it’s also a reminder that with faith and determination, any dream can become a reality! We look forward to great things ahead for Preventive Measures and wish you all a happy and successful New Year!
