About the event

Over 7 million Black individuals identified having mental illness. Because less than 8% of therapists are Black and less than 2 percent of American Psychological Association members are Black, some may worry that mental health care practitioners are not culturally competent enough to treat their specific issues.

Tune is as Dr. Kristen Matthews, Clinical Director for PMDC has a conversation with Dr. Bridget Williams, an established board-certified family physician, author and the CEO of Green Harvest Health. Dr. Bridget hosts a wellness segment on The Culture w/Farajii Muhammad, a podcast featured on BlackStarNetwork.com. RSVP for event reminders and a link to watch the show.
