The Preventive Measures Foundation (TPMF) recently held its Community Investment Award Presentation on August 7, 2024, in Allentown, PA, recognizing local organizations making extraordinary strides in mental health and well-being. The event was filled with energy and excitement as TPMF awarded over $35,000 to continue supporting mental health initiatives in the community.
Five outstanding recipients were honored with grants, including SISU Empowering Others for their Stability and Wellness Mentorship Initiative, and Girls on the Run Lehigh Valley and Pocono for their 2024/2025 Scholarship Initiative, which provides young girls with access to social-emotional learning. 5mash3ndz, LLC was celebrated for their Serious Clamps Basketball Program, engaging youth in positive activities throughout the summer. The Hispanic Center Lehigh Valley and Family Promise of the Poconos were also recognized for their holistic approaches to mental wellness and homelessness prevention, respectively.
In addition to these grant recipients, TPMF spotlighted and awarded its A Million Steps to Mental Health Awareness Walk partners for their outstanding commitment to improving mental health and well-being, including Mindful Child Initiative, Pocono Mountains United Way, and Valley Youth House. Notably, Joseph’s House in Washington, DC, will be celebrated by TPMF’s DC office for their tireless efforts in serving the homeless community. TPMF will also honor Rockdale County Public Schools in Georgia, whose commitment to the mental well-being of students has had a transformative impact.
The presentation was a vibrant reminder of the critical role these organizations play in keeping mental health at the forefront. TPMF is proud to support their missions and looks forward to seeing the continued impact they will make.
